Almost 500 people participated in the University City Hall campaign

On Tuesday (24) and Wednesday (25), in Ciclo Básico 2, in front of the University Restaurant at Unicamp, the University City Hall held a traffic awareness campaign. With great support from employees, students and teachers, it was organized with the concessionaire Rota das Bandeiras, Artesp (Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Transport Services of the State of São Paulo) and Emdec (Municipal Development Company of Campinas (Emdec)). The number of participants in the workshops reached 460 people. The traffic awareness action, called “Legal Stop”, included activities such as an alcohol-impaired driving simulator with 3D virtual reality glasses, first aid with equipment demonstration and a vehicle driving simulator.

Hundreds of kits, pens, water bottles, magazines and information pamphlets were distributed. For Mayor Armando José Geraldo, campaigns of this nature are intended to guide vehicle drivers to behave efficiently and safely in traffic.
