Unicamp Mathematics Olympiad ends thirty-third edition and awards 63

Stimulating intellectual growth in the field of mathematics was the main objective of the Unicamp Mathematics Olympiad (THE MU), which ended its ª 33 edition on Saturday (11). In cceremony held in Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing (Imecc) 63 students from Elementary and High School in the State of São Paulo were awarded medals. Check out the list of winners.

The event was attended by the rector Marcelo Knobel, from the undergraduate dean Eliana Amaral, from ppostgraduate dean André Tosi Furtado, director of Imecc Francisco de Assis Gomes Neto, in addition to the Secretary of Education of the State of São Paulo, José Renato Nalini and the Secretary of Education of the City of Campinas, Solange Villon Kohn Pelicer.

The WMO is an extension activity of the Imecc carried out since 1985 which seeks to provide an opportunity for young people with willingness and interest to deepen their mathematical knowledge.
