91 days before the Unicamp Open Doors (UPA) event, on May 19th, the first school registered on the afternoon of last Thursday (15th) was the Colégio Jesus Maria José, in Poços de Caldas, MG. The school will send 45 high school students and three teachers to Unicamp. Another 54 schools have already guaranteed their presence on the first day of online registration. Unicamp expects the participation of 40 thousand visitors in this 14th edition of UPA, which is organized by the General Coordination of the University (CGU).
Colégio Jesus Maria José is a Catholic institution created 90 years ago, traditional in the city of Minas Gerais. There are a total of 578 students enrolled this year. According to the school's events coordinator, Flávia Carvalho, the school has encouraged its students to get to know Unicamp and this interest has been reflected above all in high-demand courses, such as Medicine, Biology and Engineering.
"We have participated in UPA for at least five years. And students have become increasingly curious about the event and have spontaneously sought us out to attend it. Our students have obtained good results in the Entrance Exams and Enem", he reveals. "We hope that many of them will make up their minds about their professional future."
