The essay corresponds to 20% of the final grade of the Unicamp Entrance Exam. So, a good performance in this test makes a lot of difference in the final result of candidates competing for a place at university. To assist students in preparing for this exam, Editora da Unicamp launched the collection Unicamp Entrance Exam - Essays 2018. The book will be launched this Saturday, the 19th, during the Unicamp Open Doors (UPA) event, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, at the Livraria da Editora da Unicamp, which is located at the Institute of Language Studies (IEL). At the launch, there will be an autograph session with the authors of the selected essays.
Unicamp Editor's programming at UPA is available at the address.
The work, organized by the Permanent Commission for Unicamp Entrance Exams (Comvest), brings together 30 exemplary essays written by candidates who took the second phase of the Unicamp 2018 Entrance Exam. In addition, it contains a description of the exam board's expectations for both text genres requested in the exam: a lecture on post-truth and a journalistic article on freedom of expression. The objective is to offer the reader an overview of some of the best-rated texts in the 2018 selection process and useful guidance for teachers and students preparing for the entrance exam.
