Unicamp's Permanent Teacher Training Commission (CPFP) promoted this Thursday morning, 17/5, the third edition of the Forum for Teacher Training Courses at São Paulo State Public Universities under the theme "The National Common Curricular Base and Teacher Training". Participating in the round table, in the Noble Hall of the Faculty of Education (FE), were professor Dr. Lisete Arelaro, from the University of São Paulo (USP), professor Dr. Alexandro Paixão, coordinator of the Pedagogy course at Unicamp and professor Dra Maria Inês Petrucci Rosa, from the Faculty of Education at Unicamp.
The forum, created to be a space for discussion between the three public universities in the State of São Paulo (Unicamp, USP and Unesp) regarding topics relating to teacher training, went through a period of inactivity and, upon resuming its discussions last year, it was established that every two years, one of the three institutions will host the event. The activities are defined by a joint committee between teachers and students, made up of 18 members, with representatives from the three educational institutions involved. The work of this commission reflects, from the choice of the topic to the format of the meeting, with a round table and a plenary session for the production of documents.
According to professor Maria Inês Petrucci, responsible for this edition of the event, “the forum does not have a deliberative body, but it is an important space for convergence and debate, mainly for the teaching staff and coordinators of teacher training courses at three public universities”.
Maria Inês also highlights that the event is open, thus increasing the opportunity to expand the debate, since among the 190 registered, there are also basic education teachers. “This is proof that the forum is managing to sensitize all education professionals to participate in discussions between teachers, coordinators and pedagogical directors from across the Metropolitan Region of Campinas”, concludes the teacher.
