Unicamp's Blood Center is launching the campaign “Help take the Blood Center out of reserve. Donate blood”, in partnership with Recap - Petroleum Derivatives Retail Trade Union of Campinas. The campaign is motivated by the drop in the number of donations in the winter period, in 2018, combined with the Football World Cup. “We at Hemocentro know how difficult it is to be on reserve”, commented Vagner de Castro, director of the blood collection service.
The Campaign was created at zero cost by the Arpejo agency, from Campinas, and will be publicized at gas stations in the city with the installation of banners and posters. This Tuesday, the 12th, there will be collection at the Andorinhas station, located at Avenida José de Souza Campos, 2101, corner of Avenida Orosimbo Maia, from 8 am to 12 pm.
Since last year, the government of the state of São Paulo established Red June, to encourage donations. Monuments are illuminated in red. Also on the 14th, World Blood Donor Day is celebrated.
