The Unicamp Rectory sent to the management of the Unicamp Workers' Union (STU) on the afternoon of this Tuesday (10) a letter formalizing the proposals relating to negotiations around the category's specific demand agenda. In the document, the Central Administration proposes a staggered adjustment of food aid – R$ 100 from July 1, 2018 and another R$ 20 from January 1, 2019 - and reiterates six other points presented previously.
The document was sent a few hours after a meeting between representatives of the rectory and STU, which took place this Tuesday morning. The set of proposals, listed below, represents an important financial effort on the part of Unicamp, which has projected a budget deficit of around R$239 million for 2018.
Proposals
1 – Reiterates the 1,5% adjustment, with a technical meeting to monitor the collection already scheduled between Fórum das Seis and Cruesp for 23/07/2018, as agreed on the general agenda.
2 – Reiterates the suggestion of implementing a local Working Group to monitor the evolution of the budget, following the terms of item 3 of the Cruesp 03/2018 statement. First meeting scheduled for 24/07/2018.
3 – Proposes a staggered adjustment in food aid as follows: an increase of R$ 100,00 from 01/07/2018 (rising to R$ 950,00), plus another R$ 20,00 from 01 /01/2019 (rising to R$ 970,00 from this date).
4 – Reiterates that 10% of the surplus (over what was foreseen in the PDO) from ICMS collection in 2018, minus the 1,5% adjustment and the increase in food aid, be allocated to careers (teachers, employees and researchers) so annualized from the second budget review.
5 – Reiterates the scheduling of other meetings to discuss other items on the specific agenda (meeting on charters and meeting on working conditions in the health sector).
6 – The Rectory undertakes to discuss with each manager how to replace the days stopped (or accumulated work, where appropriate) and consequently issue a supplementary sheet for payment of the amounts deducted from workers who joined the movement, immediately after the end of the strike.
7 – Joint efforts will be made with ALESP to increase the resources allocated to São Paulo Public Universities in LDO 2019.
