Representatives from the Rectory and the Unicamp Workers' Union (STU) met this Thursday morning (12) to discuss the procedures related to the return of technical-administrative employees to work, after the end of the category's strike, approved in the assembly Last day. On the occasion, the chief of staff, professor Joaquim Murray Bustorff Silva, detailed what measures were taken by the University.
According to the chief of staff, the Central Administration fulfilled the commitment made in item 6 of the negotiation proposal approved by the workers, consisting of two points. The first was to guide each manager of the institution's units and bodies to negotiate with employees the best way to replace idle days - through compensation for hours not worked or accumulated work, where this measure applies.
In addition, Unicamp also ordered the General Directorate of Human Resources (DGRH) to issue a supplementary sheet to pay the amounts deducted from workers who joined the strike. The pay slip will be available for employees to consult online from this Friday afternoon. The money will be deposited in the servers' accounts on Monday. Normally, this type of procedure takes five days to complete, but DGRH made an additional effort to reduce the deadline.
Unionists agreed with the measures taken, and informed that they would advise the category to return to work this Thursday. In addition to the 1,5% salary adjustment offered by the Council of Rectors of the State Universities of São Paulo (Cruesp), Unicamp proposed a staggered adjustment in food assistance, which foresees an increase of R$ 100,00 from 01/07 /2018 (rising to R$ 950,00), plus an additional R$ 20,00 from 01/01/2019 (rising to R$ 970,00 from this date).
The University also proposed that 10% of the surplus (over what was foreseen in the PDO) from the ICMS collection in 2018, minus the 1,5% adjustment and the increase in food assistance, be allocated to careers (teachers, staff and researchers) of annualized mode from the second budget review. The Rectory also committed to keeping the discussion channel open with the STU to address other items on the workers' specific agenda, such as free chartered transport and improving working conditions in the health sector.
