Maria Cecília Calani Baranauskas, professor at Unicamp's Computing Institute, was chosen to take on one of the 11 vacancies on the board of directors of the Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). Linked to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), IITE promotes the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in education globally. Specializing in the study of the relationship between humans and computers, Baranauskas will be the Latin American representative on the board of IITE, which is based in Moscow, Russia.
