Taking the application of its entrance exams to more Brazilian capitals is one of Unicamp's objectives, in the search for the best talents. Starting this year, the Unicamp Vestibular will be applied in two new capitals: Curitiba and Salvador. In addition to these, Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Fortaleza are already among the test sites, in addition to the capital of São Paulo. Registration began at the beginning of August and among the first to enroll, there are already several students from other states.
Thiago Medeiros, 18 years old, lives in Curitiba and wasted no time. He was one of the first to sign up for the Unicamp 2019 Entrance Exam. With the return of the test in his city, after six years, the student said he felt motivated to apply for a place on the Computer Engineering course. It will be the first time as a Unicamp entrance exam. “The biggest challenge is juggling between high school and prep school, as well as finding time to read the mandatory collection of books for the Literature test,” said Thiago.
Student Marcela Andrade, 17 years old, also didn't want to leave registration until the last minute. Marcela lives in Teresina and chose to take the tests in Fortaleza. The student says she is preparing herself through previous entrance exams. “I’m focusing on the subjects in which I have the most difficulty. I want to study Medicine at Unicamp, because I want to become a competent professional and an altruistic human being”, said Marcela. For her, Unicamp being a reference in the health sector and being located in a scientific hub are motivating factors in this process.
Also among the first to enroll in the Unicamp 2019 Entrance Exam and trying to get a place in the Civil Engineering course, Ivando da Silva takes the Unicamp entrance exam for the first time, at the age of 39. A resident of Salvador and a Petrobras employee, Ivando says that the University draws his attention due to its recognition in the job market. He states that applying the tests in the capital of Bahia was essential for him to be able to compete for a place on the desired course. “If I pass the Unicamp entrance exam, I will do my best and dedicate myself to the institution, which I consider to be cutting-edge,” stated the candidate.
Registration for the Unicamp Entrance Exam ends on August 31st and must be done via the Permanent Commission for Entrance Exams page (Comvest), where all the necessary information is located.
