Representatives from the Central Administration and the Unicamp Workers' Union (STU) met this Thursday morning (4) to discuss topics related to absenteeism and illness at work in the University's health sector. The objective of the parties is to establish, in a consensual manner, measures that reduce the occurrence of these cases and make the work environment even better.

The meeting was also attended by directors from the General Directorate of Human Resources (DGRH) and the Human Resources area of the Hospital de Clínicas (HC), as well as doctor Sérgio Roberto de Lucca, member of the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Sciences Medical (FCM). After the considerations of those present, two points were agreed.

The first consists of analyzing the way in which workers who present medical reports are received. The second, which is directly linked to the previous one, refers to the need to promote management training to improve care for people holding medical certificates and reports. “This improvement work is already being done at HC, but we see no problem in intensifying it. Our intention is to increasingly improve the working environment at the University”, highlighted the head of the Rectory’s office, professor Joaquim Bustorff Silva, who classified the meeting as “very productive”.
