Next Sunday, November 18, Unicamp will administer the test for the first phase of the Unicamp 2019 Entrance Exam to 76.312 candidates. The Permanent Commission for Entrance Exams (Comvest) advises candidates to consult the test location on its website. In the State of São Paulo, in addition to the capital, Unicamp applies its entrance exams in another 29 cities: Araçatuba, Bauru, Botucatu, Bragança Paulista, Campinas, Franca, Guaratinguetá, Guarulhos, Indaiatuba, Jundiaí, Limeira, Marília, Mogi das Cruzes, Mogi Guaçu, Osasco, Piracicaba, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, Santo André, Santos, São Bernardo do Campo, São Carlos, São João da Boa Vista, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba, Sumaré and Valinhos . The cities of Curitiba and Salvador will be two new Brazilian capitals to host the Unicamp Vestibular tests, starting with this year's edition. Thus, outside the State of São Paulo, there will be five capitals to host the Unicamp tests next Sunday: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Fortaleza and Salvador.
76.312 candidates are registered in the process, who will compete for 2.589 places in 69 undergraduate courses. This number represents 80% of regular vacancies, since from this year onwards, the other 20% will be filled through Enem.
Timetables
Candidates are advised to arrive at the test location at 12 noon (Brasília time), as access to the test locations will be permitted until 13 pm. Leaving home in advance is important, considering that the candidate may encounter heavy traffic in some places. Comvest advises candidates to travel to the test location before the day of the exam, to know the route. Candidates who will take the test in Fortaleza and Salvador, where there is no 'summer time', should be careful, as Brasília time applies.
the first phase
The first phase test consists of 90 multiple-choice questions, distributed as follows: 13 questions on Portuguese Language and Portuguese Language Literatures, 13 questions on Mathematics, 9 questions on History and 9 questions on Geography (including Philosophy and Sociology) , 9 Physics questions, 9 Chemistry questions, 9 Biology questions, 7 English questions, in addition to 12 interdisciplinary questions. Each question has four alternatives. The maximum test time in the first phase is five hours and the minimum is three hours and thirty minutes.
What to bring to the test
Candidates must bring the original identity document indicated in the application, black pens on transparent material, black pencil and eraser. The use of a transparent ruler and compass will be permitted. The use of cell phones or any other electronic equipment, digital watches, liquid correction fluid, mechanical pencil, highlighter pen, bandana/scarf, cap, hat, or other foreign proof materials is prohibited. The candidate may use a watch to keep track of time, but all watches must be placed on the floor, next to the desk. Comvest will provide packaging in which the candidate must keep the cell phone turned off. Upon entering the exam room and receiving the package, the candidate must immediately turn off their cell phone and place it in the package. Candidates must remove their cell phones from their packaging after leaving the building. Allowed: water, juices, sweets, shorts and light clothing.
