Unicamp, through the Dean of Research (PRP), organizes, on February 11th, at 10 am, in the Auditorium of the Social Benefits Management Group (GGBS), building of the General Directorate of Administration (DGA), a meeting with teachers, researchers, staff and students interested in forming a team to carry out studies and research on the Brumadinho-MG disaster.
The team will be led by Professor Jefferson Picanço, from the Department of Geology and Natural Resources at the Institute of Geosciences (IG). Shrike was on an official mission at the site of the tragedy.
The group will try to understand the accident and its medium and long-term environmental, cultural, economic, social and humanitarian impacts, seeking to establish effective measures for monitoring risks, preventing new accidents, mitigating damage caused to the environment and monitoring developments. sociocultural aspects of the affected population and other aspects of relevance to the region.
