The Dean of Postgraduate Studies (PRPG) at Unicamp released this Thursday (14), a edict for the selection of master's and doctoral students interested in working as facilitators in undergraduate courses at the univesp (Virtual University of the State of São Paulo). Up to 500 students will be selected, 300 at master's level and 200 studying for a doctorate. The value of the scholarships will be R$1.500,00 and R$2.200,00, equivalent to the funding that Capes offers.
As the start of the two-month course is approaching, registration ends next Monday, the 18th. Enrolled students will be selected and will receive an order from a committee made up of representatives from PRPG, the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (PRG) and also the Educational Technologies Management Group (GGTE). The training period at Univesp will be from February 20th to 23rd, with classes starting on the 25th.
According to the dean of Postgraduate Studies Nancy Lopes Garcia, Univesp has a shortage of 788 facilitators for the first two months of 2019. In addition to Unicamp, USP and Unesp must also select students. “The objective of the program is to create skills for our students who do not have the opportunity to work with AVA, or Virtual Learning Environment, platforms. Furthermore, the notice will absorb a portion of students who do not receive funding,” she highlighted.
Some requirements for candidates are: being a postgraduate student regularly enrolled at Unicamp, having training in areas related to undergraduate disciplines at Univesp and being available 12 hours a week. The notice released by PRPG is the result of a second addendum to an agreement between Unicamp and Univesp signed in April 2018. The first addendum was for the selection of author professors.
