Unicamp statement
Unicamp's Central Administration announces that academic and administrative activities on the Barão Geraldo campus were fully normalized this Thursday (02), following repairs to the electrical system at the University Restaurant (RU).
We reiterate that the forced suspension of academic activities last Tuesday (30) did not affect the Health Area, the Unicamp Technical College (Cotuca) and the Multidisciplinary Center for Chemical, Biological and Agricultural Research (CPQBA), where the supply of Meals were provided by the Saturnino Restaurant. All activities on the Limeira and Piracicaba campuses were also maintained.
The Central Administration informs that the unexpected electrical outage in the UK occurred due to an insulation failure in the electrical panel, and had no connection with the power supply to the building. Power was restored by the Unicamp team on Tuesday (30) and subjected to maximum load tests with stability of the building's electrical supply.
