Unicamp and the School of the National Association of Labor Attorneys (ANPT) signed an agreement to facilitate the promotion of courses, studies, research and pedagogical projects together. The document was signed this Thursday morning (23) at the headquarters of the Attorney General's Office (PGT) in Brasília, during the ceremony that marked the opening of the school.
“The idea of this agreement is to be able to collaborate with labor attorneys in order to bring together the two public institutions that are fundamental for the development of our society”, highlighted the rector of Unicamp, Marcelo Knobel. For him, the two institutions gain a lot from the possibility of developing work in partnership. “We will be able to continue collaborating towards an increasingly better country”, he stated.
According to Unicamp professor Luis Renato Vedovato, member of the Migration Observatory in São Paulo, the courses will be at Unicamp, in Distance Learning (EAD) and at the headquarters of the ANPT School. He emphasizes that the activities will be organized jointly between teachers from both institutions. “In this way, Unicamp will be able to deepen its relations with the world of migration law, protection against slave labor and the fight against human trafficking. It will be possible to bring the legal element, which is not so present at the university, since we do not offer the Law course”.
Unicamp carries out important research in the areas mentioned by Vedovato. This caught the agency's attention. After signing the agreement, a master class was held, taught by professor and judge Ingo Wolfgang Sarlet, with the theme “Prohibition of retrogression, social rights and labor reform”.
