Signing of term of office: new counselors will have two years of work

The rector of Unicamp Marcelo Knobel swore in this Tuesday (18) the new teaching representatives at the University Council (Consu), the University's highest deliberation body. 22 full members and their respective substitutes were elected for a two-year term that will end in June 2021. The election was carried out by the General Secretariat (SG).

Knobel said the induction ceremony is an important formality that shows people with different points of view are willing to invest their time in important discussions for the University. He wished everyone an excellent time together at the University Council.

The representation of teachers at Consu is divided into three categories: representation bench by career level Higher Education (MS), with nine members; general representation bench for the MS career, made up of 11 members; and a bench representing other teaching careers, made up of two members.

The board of directors at the ceremony was composed, in addition to the dean Marcelo Knobel, by the pro-rector of Extension and Culture (Preac), Fernando Hashimoto, by the dean of Undergraduate Studies, Eliana Amaral, and by the dean of University Development, Francisco de Assis Magalhães Gomes Neto.
