The Permanent Commission for Unicamp Entrance Exams (Comvest) will extend registrations for the Unicamp 2020 Entrance Exam until next Monday, September 9th. Registration would end this Friday (6/9), but now interested students will be able to register until 18pm on 9/9, exclusively online, on the Comvest website: www.comvest.unicamp.br. The fee is 170,00 reais and must also be paid by September 9th, to confirm registration. The Unicamp 2020 Entrance Exam offers 2.570 places, distributed across 69 courses
From this year onwards, when registering, the courses chosen must be from the same area of knowledge: Humanities/Arts; Biological/health; Exact/Technological. This choice will define the second stage test that candidates will take, if approved in the first stage. This is because, from this year onwards, the second phase tests will no longer be the same for all candidates, but will now be related to the area of knowledge of the chosen courses. It is possible to take up to two course options, as long as they are in the same area. With the change, the second phase of the Unicamp Entrance Exam will be reduced from three to two days.
The first phase will be held on November 17th and the second phase will take place on January 12th and 13th, 2020. Before the first phase, there will be Specific Skills tests for candidates for Music courses (in September and October). For the other courses that require this exam (Architecture and Urban Planning, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Dance), the Specific Skills tests will take place between January 20th and 24th, 2020.
How is it
The first phase consists of a single test, with 90 multiple-choice General Knowledge questions. The second phase consists of essay tests. On the first day, there are tests common to all candidates: Writing (consisting of two text proposals for the candidate to perform only one); Portuguese Language and Portuguese Language Literatures, with eight questions; two interdisciplinary questions in English. On the second day, in addition to the tests common to all candidates (Mathematics with six questions; interdisciplinary Human Sciences with two questions; interdisciplinary Natural Sciences with two questions) there are specific tests, depending on the course option:
– candidates from the area of Biological Sciences/Health: six questions from Biology and six questions from Chemistry;
– candidates from the Exact/Technological Sciences area: six Physics questions and six Chemistry questions;
– candidates from the Human Sciences/Arts area: six questions from Geography and six questions from History, encompassing content from Philosophy and Sociology.
