Fernando Hashimoto: part of the demands covered

The Dean of Extension and Culture (Proec) released the results of the Notice of Support for PROEC-PEX 2019 Extension Projects. 37 proposals will be considered and will receive amounts of up to 10 thousand reais each. The amount to be distributed is R$357.416,56 and the projects will be developed during the second half of 2020.

The winning projects were selected from 118 proposals, analyzed by a multidisciplinary evaluation committee. The first criterion considered was the link with teaching and research. Furthermore, the participation of regular students is mandatory.

The Dean of Extension and Culture, Fernando Hashimoto, highlighted that all areas of knowledge were covered. “The notices are important to promote extension projects. They cover part of the demands that arrive at Proec almost daily,” he stated.

Hashimoto said that PEX complements the many extension actions, some of which are already consolidated in programs that have been institutionalized as pre-university courses or the Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives (ITCP/Unicamp), for example.
