The Dean of Undergraduate Studies (PRG) released the winning projects of the notice to encourage hybrid teaching in undergraduate courses. Sixty thousand reais will be distributed to 11 projects in the areas of exact, human, biological and technological. Those responsible for the projects will be able to invest in hiring personnel, purchasing inputs or equipment or whatever is necessary to develop or increase the use of new technologies.

According to professor Marco Antonio Garcia de Carvalho, coordinator of Gurpo Gestor de Tecnologias Educacionais (GGTE), current legislation allows a percentage of subjects, or part of the course load, to be taught or complemented with digital education resources. The possibilities are many: video classes, podcasts, virtual learning environments, massive distance learning courses or even games. The approved projects will have the infrastructure of the Educational Technologies Management Group available (GGTE).

Unicamp discusses a digital education policy through a working group. Marco Antonio explains that there are a series of isolated initiatives to produce this type of content at Unicamp and that the ideal would be to bring together and support these teachers. The notice is the university's first institutional action to encourage innovation in the classroom and is part of the actions provided for by RenovaGRAD - Support Program for Undergraduate Teaching Coordinations.

Among those contemplated, there are projects by teachers who already have dissemination channels available on platforms such as YouTube and others who are beginning to venture into the digital teaching field. This is the case of professors Rodrigo Lanna da Silveira and Marcelo Pereira da Cunha, both from the Institute of Economics, responsible for preparing video classes that will be part of two accounting subjects. In the approved project, the authors highlight that these are subjects with a high demand from students and that a theoretical part will be made available virtually.

The project approved for the Faculty of Chemical Engineering involves recording experiments, in addition to theoretical classes and interviews with professionals from the chemical industry on various topics. “FEQ saw the Notice as an opportunity to diversify and expand its teaching tools. We believe that the development of this project, combined with others that are in progress, could greatly contribute to the consolidation of a new educational proposal, centered on the student as the protagonist of learning, and transposing the classroom space, bringing knowledge to the student where wherever it is”, says Professor Raphael Soeiro Suppino, Undergraduate Coordinator and project proponent.

He highlights that FEQ is already preparing to comply with the New National Curricular Guidelines for Engineering courses, approved in 2019 and which include multi/interdisciplinary and multiplatform teaching. The project envisages offering content that students would need to watch before a given class, and those that they could watch at any time, as a way of complementing their studies on the subject.
