The Specific Skills tests for entry into the Architecture and Urban Planning, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Dance courses were administered throughout the week and ended this Friday (24). Candidates seeking a vacancy through the Vestibular, were evaluated on their skills and potential.
Nthe Dance course, the tests lasted four days and were held at the Department of Body Arts (DACO) of the Unicamp Arts Institute. A total of 115 candidates passed to this stage. They compete for 25 vacancies through broad competition and four through quotas. Professor Graziela Estela Fonseca Rodrigues, who is part of the panel responsible for this part of the selection process, explains that the tests were divided into individual presentations and group assessments. Firstly, the candidates chose a song by the body percussion group Barbatuques to perform a choreography of up to three minutes.

“The test was very interesting because it was diverse in the way each candidate developed their creation taking into account the work”, says Graziela. According to the teacher, at this point it is already possible to understand the candidate's affinities, as there is freedom to create the choreography based on an aesthetic developed by him.
In the second stage, in groups, candidates passed the technical test, having to develop elements proposed by the test administrator. The last stage consisted of the improvisation test, when points such as creativity, concentration and fluidity in movements are assessed.

In the Architecture and Urbanism course test, there were also three stages, which are being held this Friday (24) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism until 18pm. For this phase, 145 candidates passed, competing for 24 places through broad competition and five through quotas. “The test aims to observe the candidates’ competence in graphic expression. It is an important test as it gives us a signal of how internalized this expression is in each of the future entrants”, points out professor Sidney Bernardini, course coordinator.

The teacher also highlights that the three questions were based on works by the teacher and artist Marco do Valle, who passed away in 2018, being a way of paying homage to him. “He was a professor at the Unicamp Arts Institute and contributed a lot to our entrance exam, for many years he was part of the committees, and he has a very significant work, not only as a teacher but as an artist”, he points out.

For admission to the Visual Arts and Performing Arts courses, the tests were also divided into a theoretical test and a practical test. On February 10th, Unicamp publishes the first call list of approved candidates. Follow on website of the Permanent Commission for Entrance Exams (Comvest).
