Update: In view of the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, regarding the coronavirus pandemic, coronavirus, Unicamp decided to cancel the 2020 Course Exhibition event, which was scheduled for May 30th, at the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA), in Limeira-SP. The Open Doors Unicamp (UPA) is not planned to be held in 2020.

Unicamp Campus 2 in Limeira, which houses the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA), will host the 1st Unicamp Course Exhibition this year. The event will aim to present high school, pre-university students and the entire community with the courses and areas of academic training offered by the university. The fair will be on May 30th and registration for schools begins on March 2nd and runs until April 2nd.

"Starting next year, we will return with the very successful UPA model", highlights Teresa Atvars

The event will be held to replace the traditional Open Doors University program (UPA). This year, a renovation is scheduled for the University Restaurant, the largest on the campus in Campinas, which will require the use of a temporary space to serve meals in the Central Library region, in addition to all the movement of machines and people caused by the works in an essential area for the UPA, which makes the big event in Campinas unfeasible. "This is happening exceptionally this year. Starting next year, we will return with the very successful UPA model, which is always a good opportunity for people to visit us and get to know Unicamp", explains Teresa Atvars, general coordinator of Unicamp.

Teresa also comments that holding the exhibition will be a good opportunity to publicize Unicamp's presence in the city of Limeira. There, the university has three teaching units: the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA), with six undergraduate courses and four postgraduate programs, the Faculty of Technology (FT), with seven undergraduate courses and a postgraduate program, in addition to the Colégio Técnico de Limeira (Cotil). "We are going to change the format of presenting our courses a little, without losing quality, and take the opportunity to publicize our important presence in Limeira", comments the coordinator.

The Course Exhibition will have a fair format, with each course having a stand for presentation. The audience is expected to be around 10 people, who will be able to check out and participate from 9am to 17pm. There will be no specific times for activities. Other information about the Course Exhibition in Limeira will soon be made available on the event's own page and on the UPA website
