This week, the Inova Unicamp Innovation Agency launched a system to facilitate interaction with companies interested in establishing partnerships with Unicamp for research and development (R&D), provision of services, consultancy and licensing of technologies in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
Created jointly with the University's COVID-19 task force, The form It is a response to the growing demand from companies looking for the expertise of researchers or the infrastructure of the University's laboratories to support the development of new products with diverse applications during the pandemic.
Companies interested in seeking a partnership with Unicamp can now fill out the form on the Inova website. The Agency will receive demands, analyze the information, prospect research groups and laboratories at the University and respond to companies. Newton Frateschi, executive director of Inova Unicamp, explains that Inova is the gateway for companies that want to establish innovation partnerships with Unicamp and that it is part of the Agency's work to receive demands from companies and promote projects in partnership.
“We took advantage of our expertise, contacts and the channel we already have on the Inova website and adapted it by including the COVID-19 TASK FORCE CALL option to, within this scope of the pandemic, facilitate communication between companies interested in cooperating and researchers” , explains the executive director.
Frateschi also clarifies that this channel is not aimed at receiving donations – which are being directed to the Friends of Hospital das C programlinical – nor for the registration of suppliers to the University. “We are focused on facilitating cooperative research and the use of the University’s laboratory infrastructure and expertise to develop new innovative products and services to combat the pandemic”, instructs the director.
