Since mid-March, when the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Covid-19 pandemic, museums and cultural institutions around the world have gradually closed their doors indefinitely, with the aim of avoiding crowds and, thus, trying to reduce the spread of the Sars-CoV-2 virus. When it was impossible to receive visitors, these spaces tried to create alternatives to offer online access to the collections, ranging from viewing specific works to carrying out complete virtual tours, without audience restrictions. In addition to entertainment, many of these collections also constitute fundamental sources of scientific research.
