As explained by Professor Newton Frateschi, executive director of Inova Unicamp and president of the UV board, the call is one of the University's strategies to get closer, get to know and reflect on the results of companies formed by Unicamp alumni within its ecosystem. .

“Currently, we have 717 registered daughter companies. Of these, 230 are from the IT sector. Our goal is to expand the network of daughter companies to other sectors, such as Agribusiness. We want to know these stories to support them in their businesses and also inspire students from different Unicamp institutes to undertake”, explains Frateschi about the open call.

New formats of interaction between daughter companies

The call for cases is just one of the interaction strategies between entrepreneurial alumni promoted by the Unicamp Ventures group, whose mission is to connect Unicamp's daughter companies in order to enhance their ventures in the most diverse sectors.

According to the executive president of Unicamp Ventures and CEO of the communications agency BRSA, José Augusto Moura, the current management of advisors developed a calendar of activities to bring daughter companies closer together by sector. In other words, each month Unicamp Ventures and Inova Unicamp will promote a theme between the daughter companies and the community with different activities to be carried out: for example, the dissemination of company cases, webinars and even thematic podcasts.

“We strongly believe in the potential for connections between daughter companies to promote a collaborative entrepreneurial environment. In 2019, we had a positive feedback on learning from our meetups in the food and telecommunications sectors. For 2020, even with the quarantine, we will expand these thematic actions together with Inova and do more virtual meetups”, explains Moura about the partnership and proposed activities.

The organization announced that free registrations for a webinar on the agribusiness sector will soon be announced in June.
