Registration for Inova Jovem 2020 is now open, the largest entrepreneurship competition in Brazil aimed at high school, promoted by the Inova Unicamp Innovation Agency.
In the completely free competition, public or private high school students will participate in training activities with the aim of developing business models with social impact. The novelty of this edition is that it is held completely online, which facilitates access for teams from all corners of Brazil. Registration is limited and can be made until August 27th at Inova Jovem website.
To register, students must form teams of three to five students and enter an idea for an innovative project, be it a product, service or process. The six teams with the best business models evaluated will go to the final and will be able to compete for up to R$5 per team, plus certificates.
With a focus on developing business models that are financially sustainable and at the same time produce benefits for society, the project must be based on one of the five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), selected for the competition:
- Health and wellness
- Quality education
- Clean and Affordable Energy
- Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Responsible Consumption and Production
To transform projects into business models, students will receive the necessary skills to undertake: Innovation workshop, canvas and social business; pitch training and mentoring with professionals with extensive experience in the market. Details of each training can be found in this link.
After training, teams must submit their Canvas to be evaluated and compete for a place in the online final. The finalists will compete with presentations in the form of a pitch on October 23rd, at 15pm.
More information can be found at Regulation and questions should be sent by e-mail.
About Inova Jovem
Inova Jovem was created in 2014, with the aim of presenting entrepreneurship as a career option for young people in high school, in addition to making up for the lack of this type of culture in schools. The competition, which has already trained more than 2100 students, last year broke its participation record: 173 teams registered, 681 students arranged in seven Brazilian states and the Federal District.
