An updated list of work-related illnesses was published on August 28th in the Official Gazette of the Union. This update comes 21 years after the first version, published in 1999. Unicamp had an important participation, through professors Sérgio de Lucca and Márcia Bandini, both specialists in occupational medicine and professors at the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) at Unicamp.
“An updated list is the basis for improving notifications of work-related injuries and illnesses. This update is of interest to all health professionals, especially those who work in the field of Occupational Health”, says Bandini.
