Unicamp's Colégio Técnico de Campinas (Cotuca) will carry out the 2022 selection process in an in-person format, obeying all the health rules recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). The announcement was made this Thursday (20) by the College Selection Examination Committee. The last selection process for those entering in 2021 took place based on an analysis of academic records due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Last year, the school history analysis model was exceptional as we did not know how the epidemic would evolve. This year we have the experience of Comvest as an example and expectation of evolution in the number of people vaccinated”, recalls the director of Cotuca, professor Vanessa Petrilli Bavaresco
The test consists of objective questions and an essay. For this edition, in particular, the Exam's Academic Committee will organize a model that will reduce the duration, as well as redefine the syllabus that will be requested. Interested parties should wait for June 20th, when the Commission intends to make information about the tests available on the Cotuca website.
The selection criteria will be based on a classification system that will include broad competition and minimum percentages for ethnic-racial quotas aimed at self-declared black, brown or indigenous students, coming from public schools. In addition, there will also be classification by social quotas aimed at students who attended Elementary School II (from the 6th to the 9th year) entirely at public schools.
The complete Notice of the 2022 Selection Process with details for candidate registration should be published at the beginning of August. The Commission already informs, however, that due to the health situation, registration of “trainers”, those students who will not complete primary education in 2021, will not be permitted. The Crisis Committee - Covid-19 will guide all safety protocols to the day of the test. Every year, around five thousand candidates register for the Cotuca Vestibulinho.
