One of the program's missions Unicamp Open Doors (UPA) is to present not only the laboratories, libraries and physical spaces of the campuses, but also the various work fronts of the University and projects developed by professors and students that contribute to the advancement and well-being of society. So that high school students and college entrance students can learn about some of this work, this year's UPA will feature a program of panels that will discuss major topics, such as scientific production and new technologies caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the encouragement of innovation and entrepreneurship already at graduation, in addition to Unicamp's concerns with sustainability and the defense of human rights. UPA 2021 will be held from July 20th to 23rd and the panels will be broadcast live on TV Unicamp channel on YouTube, always at 10am. The public can participate by sending their questions and comments via chat.
On July 21st, the second day of UPA, the first panel will take place with the theme Science and Technology in the Pandemic. In it, some of the members of the Unicamp Task Force against Covid-19 will share some of their experiences in developing important research to combat Covid-19 that has been carried out at the University since the beginning of the pandemic. They also comment on the importance of encouraging science and the challenges of training new researchers for the future. Professors Marcelo Mori, Luiz Carlos Dias, Marisa Beppu and Anderson Rocha participate in the chat, as well as students who participate in the work carried out by the group.
The chat about Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University will take place on July 22nd, the third day of UPA. Organized by the Unicamp Innovation Agency (Inova), the panel will present the entrepreneurship initiatives in which Unicamp undergraduate students can get involved from the beginning of the course, in addition to discussing the benefits of including incentives for innovation throughout the course. academic life. The discussion will feature the participation of Mariana Inglez, manager of the Scientific and Technological Park at Unicamp; David Figueira, former Unicamp student, CEO of Grupo Lamas and president of the Unicamp Ventures group; in addition to students representing the Entrepreneurial League and Junior Companies at Unicamp.
On the fourth and last day of the UPA, July 23rd, the topic of discussion will be Sustainability and Human Rights. The chat will present projects that make Unicamp a more sustainable university, such as the search for greater energy efficiency, development of new technologies and encouraging research on the topic. Actions to strengthen a culture of defending human rights at the University and in society will also be discussed. Participating in this panel are professors Luiz Carlos Pereira da Silva, coordinator of the Sustainable Campus project; Danúsia Arantes, coordinator of the Eyes on the Future project, which takes public schools to discuss the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; and Josianne Cerasolli, coordinator of the Human Rights Observatory at Unicamp. Undergraduate students involved in these three projects also participate.

Candidates will be able to check out as many activities as they want and, as they will be recorded on the channels, they will be able to review and share them with friends.
