DieselBank, a daughter company of Unicamp, was created with the aim of being the truck driver's bank. With two years on the road and thousands of established customers, the “refer and earn” campaign was a great attraction for those who like to earn money by referring friends.

Created in 2019 to simplify truck drivers' financial lives, the company's digital account emerged as a free and personalized alternative to the problems of traditional banks, receiving much praise and investment in recent months. As a main benefit, DieselBank, in partnership with a network of stations that continues to grow, returns up to R$0,10 per liter of diesel fueled to its customers. The amount is deposited directly into the account holder's account and allows the truck driver to make free financial transactions via cell phone.

Referral campaign helps truck drivers during the pandemic

Encouraged by the well-known friendship between truck drivers, the campaign, which began on August 30th and concluded on September 16th, National Truck Drivers' Day, allowed users to send codes through the app. The amount was received when the nominee opened an account and registered the code. During this period, whenever the person referred used the code, both would earn R$10 reais in their balance, being able to continue referring other friends, with a limit of 50 people and a period of 2 business days for the money to reach their accounts. Promoting and strengthening the partnership between truck drivers, DieselBank helped friends with the campaign, especially during the pandemic, offering the opportunity to earn up to R$500 reais on their balance, free for any type of use.

Account benefits and the truck driver's VIP lounge

The institution's other bets seem to be on a good path in terms of acceptance by the trucking public, who stopped worrying about queues at traditional banks and started paying their bills, making transfers and receiving payments via cell phone. Lucas Rodolfo, former Computer Science student at Unicamp, CEO and one of the company's creators, believes that “truck drivers are essential for our country and deserve a much better life, which is why DieselBank has been working to help them for two years ...and we’re just getting started.”

A new DieselBank project is creating VIP lounges for truck drivers, already in operation at some stations across the country, with free internet, air-conditioned spaces, sofas for relaxing and other benefits.

A field full of opportunities and the growth of DieselBank

With the great repercussion in the north, northeast and central west, and great acceptance from truck drivers themselves, DieselBank increased its customer base by more than 500% in 2021, also helping the network of partner stations. For these reasons, the company has been observed by investors who believe in the idea of transforming the financial lives of truck drivers, ensuring the delivery of services and benefits that combine technology, safety and creativity.
