Singer Fabiana Cozza performed at Unicamp on Wednesday (11). The show inaugurated the Palco DCult project, run by the Unicamp Culture Directorate, a body of the Dean of Extension and Culture (Proec).
Cozza presented the repertoire of the album "Canto da Noite na Boca do Vento", made in honor of the samba singer Dona Ivone Lara (1921-2018), and was accompanied by musicians Cainã Cavalcanti (guitar), Henrique Araújo (cavaquinho and mandolin) and Douglas Alonso (percussion).
The show also marked the end of Calourada 2022. This year's theme was “Autonomy in Defense of Science, Science in Defense of Life”.
Cozza is a trained samba player, singer, writer and doctoral candidate at the Unicamp Arts Institute, where she researches the relationship between the voice and the drum in Afro-Brazilian and Afro-diasporic music. Considered one of the most important performers of her generation, she is a versatile artist, with more than 20 years on the road. She learns a little more about the artist’s “pluriversal” trajectory on the Repórter Unicamp program.
