Inova Jovem opens registrations for students from all over the country

Inova Unicamp opened, this Tuesday (9), registrations for the program Inova Jovem 2022, competition for students enrolled in regular or technical high school who want to learn about entrepreneurial tools. The largest youth entrepreneurship competition in the country will maintain the online format in all phases of the program, to continue training students from across the country.

As free registrations end on August 31st and can be done via the Inova Jovem website. Groups made up of three to five students must compete. Teams can be formed by students from the same school or from different schools. Those who register before August 29th and participate in the first Inova Jovem Workshop receive a 55% discount on the Inova Jovem English course. NewCastle Languages.

The winners of Inova Jovem 2022 receive one thousand reais per member of the victorious team, a full scholarship for an 18-month English course at the NewCastle Idiomas school, certificates and the possibility of mentoring and technological training at Samsung Ocean program, which maintains a physical space in the Unicamp Scientific and Technological Park.

Impact entrepreneurship

The social business modeling competition is free to register and seeks to include content on entrepreneurship and innovation for young people still in regular and technical secondary education, with the aim of presenting entrepreneurship as a career. Inova Jovem lasts two months and offers training in workshops Business Model Canvas (a business modeling methodology), mentoring with job market experts and training communication for pitch, which helps present the business to potential investors. Last year, Inova Jovem had more than 360 registrations with participants from 13 different states in Brazil.

The construction of business models by the competition groups must be linked to one of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). “Teaching about impact entrepreneurship goes beyond presenting an entrepreneurial future to these young people, we also want to get them to think about innovative responses to socio-environmental problems, without excluding the economic viability of the business”, says Renato Lopes, associate executive director of Inova Unicamp.

How to participate 

The competition is aimed exclusively at young people aged 13 to 21 enrolled in regular or technical high school across Brazil. Participants must join groups of three to five people from anywhere in Brazil and from the same or different schools.

Registration has two phases: in the first, the group fills out the general registration form and, in the second, it is the turn of the individual form, in which minors under 18 must enter an authorization form from their guardians. Team registration is only valid after completing both registration stages.

Teams that are confirmed in the competition will receive an email describing the next steps. The first training activity is the Inova Jovem Workshop, mandatory for at least 2 members of each team.

About Inova Jovem   

Inova Jovem is the biggest business modeling competition for young people aged 13 to 21 across Brazil. The event was created in 2014 with the aim of presenting entrepreneurship as a career option. Since then, eight editions of the competition have been held with more than 2.300 qualified students from regular and technical high schools. In 2021, more than 360 young people from 13 different states in Brazil signed up.
