More than 30 thousand students are expected for the 17th edition of the Unicamp Open Doors Program - UPA 2022, an event that takes place this Saturday (27) in Campinas. But this year, even those who cannot attend the Barão Geraldo campus will be able to learn a little about university life at Unicamp and feel the spirit of the traditional event at the university. In an unprecedented project, TV Unicamp is preparing #VemPraUPA, a program broadcast live on YouTube, starting at 10:30 am, directly from the Cesar Lattes Central Library (BCCL), one of the points with the largest audience in UPA.
#VemPraUPA aims to expand the event's borders and bring Unicamp to those who are not present on campus. Presented by Felipe Mateus, journalist from Unicamp's Executive Secretariat for Communication (SEC), it will have the participation of students, professors and specialists from the University and will present important projects and services for student life at Unicamp, such as teaching support programs and permanence, health care, initiatives that promote human rights in the university space and tips for the Unicamp 2023 Entrance Exam.
Live flashes from UPA will also be shown and members of the public passing by the library can participate in the broadcast. The production of #VemPraUPA invites everyone to participate by sending comments and posting content on social media with the hashtag #UPA2022.
Students as protagonists
The #VemPraUPA project is an SEC initiative, through TV Unicamp and social media management, and has the support of the Central Library and the Unicamp Convention Center. Since May, the team has been working on producing digital content for the TV Unicamp channel on YouTube and the official Unicamp profile on Instagram. The videos provide important content for those interested in learning about Unicamp, its courses and services and joining the University.
A difference in the work developed this year was the active participation of Unicamp students. Interns, scholarship holders and volunteers, from different courses, worked on the production, presentation and editing of videos in the format reels, broadcast on Instagram and with a large number of hits, and will cover UPA day on Unicamp's social media. In addition to making the University's communication closer to the UPA public, participation is a way of integrating students into the world of audiovisual production and scientific communication. The content already produced by them and the highlights of the event can be seen on the @unicamp.oficial profile.
