Second phase of the Unicamp 2023 Entrance Exam will be held on the 11th and 12th (Sunday and Monday)

The second phase of Unicamp Entrance Exam 2023 will be held on the 11th and 12th of December (Sunday and Monday), in 22 cities in the country: in the capitals Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Salvador and São Paulo and in 16 other cities in São Paulo, Bauru, Campinas, Guarulhos, Jundiaí, Limeira, Mogi Guaçu, Osasco, Piracicaba, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, Santo André, Santos, São Carlos, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos and Sorocaba. 12.708 candidates were approved for the second phase. When entering the 2023 Entrance Exam, 2.540 places are offered in 69 undergraduate courses at Unicamp.

Candidates can check, on the Unicamp 2023 Vestibular page, the location where they will take the second phase test. Candidates are advised to arrive at the test site at 12 noon (Brasília time), as access to the test locations will be permitted until 13 pm (Brasília time). Candidates who arrive early are advised not to congregate at the entrances. The use of a mask in all spaces is recommended. The duration of the application is five hours on each test day.

Comvest emphasizes that candidates should pay attention to the test locations, as they will not necessarily be the same ones where they took the first phase.

What to bring to the test

Candidates must bring the original identity document indicated in the application, black pens on transparent material, black pencil and eraser. The use of a transparent ruler and compass will be permitted. The use of cell phones or any other electronic equipment, watches of the type SmartWatch and analog clocks, liquid correction fluid, mechanical pencil, highlighter pen, cap, hat, or other foreign proof materials. Allowed: water, juices, light food, wearing shorts and light clothing. The use of masks is recommended, but not mandatory. There will be wall clocks in the rooms and/or notices about the time.

During the 2nd phase tests, the civil identification procedure of candidates, by verifying the identity document indicated in the Registration Form and collecting signature and facial identification.

Second stage

The second phase consists of tests with essay questions. The tests have a common part for all candidates and a diverse part, according to the area of ​​knowledge of the course chosen in the 1st option (Biological Sciences/Health; Exact/Technological Sciences, Human Sciences/Arts). This year, the second phase test will be printed in color, contributing to a more detailed reading of the different types of images used in the question statements (graphs, tables, photos, etc.).  Each essay question is worth four points, each containing two items, worth two points each. The tests follow the following distribution:

First day – common tests for all candidates.

- Writing test (consisting of two text proposals for the candidate to choose and execute only one proposal);
- Portuguese Language and Portuguese Language Literature Test, with six questions;
- Interdisciplinary test with two interdisciplinary questions in English and two interdisciplinary questions in Natural Sciences.

Second day – tests common to all candidates.

- Mathematics test, with six questions;

- Interdisciplinary test with two interdisciplinary questions from Human Sciences;

Second day – specific knowledge tests (PCE), depending on the course option.

- Candidates from the Biological Sciences/Health area: six questions from Biology and six questions from Chemistry;

- Candidates from the Exact/Technological Sciences area: six questions from Physics and six questions from Chemistry;

- Candidates from the Human Sciences/Arts area: six questions from Geography and six questions from History, encompassing content from Philosophy and Sociology.

The Specific Skills Tests for the Architecture and Urban Planning, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Dance courses will be held between January 4th and 6th, 2023, only in Campinas. The first call will be announced on February 6th, and those selected must register online (not in person) between February 7th, 8th and 9th, via the Comvest website.
