Abstention F2/Day 1 - Unicamp Entrance Exam

2023 - 7,6%

2022 - 12,7%

2021 - 8,3%

2020 - 10,2%

For the director of Comvest, José Alves de Freitas Neto, the low rate of absences is due to the change in application of the second phase from January to December, for the first time. ”Even with the tiredness of the candidates, they are still mobilized both by school activities and other exams. The test in January favors greater abstention. In this sense, we consider the decision to bring the application of the second stage to December to be correct”, stated José Alves.

For the first time in the history of the Unicamp Entrance Exam, the second phase tests were printed in color. The objective was to contribute to a more detailed reading of the different types of images used in the question statements (graphs, tables, photos, etc.). At writing test, candidates had to choose between two proposals. The first asked for a text to be drawn up to invite neighbors to discuss the risks of opening a shooting club in your neighborhood. The collection of texts addressed the increase in deaths due to relaxation of gun ownership. Candidates should take a critical stance on the release of weapons as a public security policy strategy. The second proposal would place candidates in a context of anti-racist education from your school, in which they were asked to provide a statement about having already suffered, witnessed or practiced some form of racism.

The director of Comvest assessed that the themes raised by the editorial proposals are relevant to contemporary debates in Brazilian society. According to him, “This is what we call science applied to everyday life, so that the contents covered in high school and that the university uses in the entrance exam are relevant to people's lives”, he stated.
