The 2023 Unified Indigenous Entrance Examination test will be administered on January 22nd in the following cities: Campinas (SP), Dourados (MS), Manaus (AM), Recife (PE), São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM) and Tabatinga (AM). According to Comvest, the The city of Bauru did not reach the minimum number of 55 applicants and, as provided for in the Notice of the process, the exam will not be administered. Candidates who had chosen the city of Bauru must take the test in the city of Campinas.

For the director of Comvest, the application of the Indigenous Vestibular test represents a major logistical challenge to reach the states of Amazonas (including cities such as São Gabriel da Cachoeira and Tabatinga), Pernambuco and Mato Grosso do Sul. “In this way, We believe that the Unified Indigenous Entrance Exam between Unicamp and UFSCar is increasingly consolidated as a strategic partnership to benefit indigenous students”, said José Alves.

Regarding the fact that abstention rates in the test are traditionally high, due to the difficulty of moving around due to the large distances even within municipalities in some regions, José Alves made an appeal to those enrolled: “We hope that students feel recognized in their knowledge and school experiences and mobilize to be present at the test on January 22nd”, he said.

The test will be in Portuguese, consisting of multiple choice questions and an essay, as follows: Languages and codes (14 questions); Natural Sciences (12 questions); Mathematics (12 questions); Human Sciences (12 questions); and an essay. O study program for the test is available in the notices, on the Comvest and UFSCar pages. Candidates for the Music Degree course at Unicamp and UFSCar, in addition to the tests above, must take the Specific Skills Test in Music, with the electronic submission of videos, via the internet, until December 20th.

On the day of the test, candidates must prove that they belong to one of the indigenous ethnicities of Brazilian territory, delivering the documentation specified in the Notice. Indigenous students entering the Unicamp Vestibular 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022 editions, duly enrolled, are exempt from presenting documentation.
