The first semester of 2022, with restrictions on the number of students per class, marked one of the stages of a difficult but productive year, according to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Ivan Toro. The new reality led to a diagnosis of the deficits caused by distance learning and the monitoring of students' mental health, with more professionals in the SAPPE (Psychological and Psychiatric Assistance Service) team of psychiatrists and psychologists.
Toro also highlights the increase in the value and number of student residence grants, an initiative that should be maintained in 2023, as well as the intention to invest in expanding student housing and on the campuses of Campinas, Limeira and Piracicaba, with the creation of spaces for study, leisure and sports practices.
Ivan Toro draws attention to the curricularization of university extension. In 2023, it will be mandatory to complete 10% of the workload of each course in extension activities. “This measure should bring the University closer to the community”, he says.
Toro also asks students to inform the DAC (Unicamp Academic Board) which doses of the Covid 19 vaccine they have taken so far. Proof will be necessary to register for the first semester of 2023.
