Five Unicamp professionals in the field, producing reports on the Indigenous Entrance Exam or on the searches for journalist Dom Philips and indigenous man Bruno Pereira. Serial publications for Unicamp website e Journal of Unicamp. Episodes in text, video, podcast and photographs.

The production of “Vestibular Indígena – Diário de São Gabriel” and “De Volta a São Gabriel – Diário do Vestibular Indígena” and also the series “Oeste sem Lei” forever left an impression on our reporters Liana Coll, Antônio Scarpinetti, João Ricardo - Boi, Juliana Sangion and Felipe Bezerra.

The contact with the indigenous population or not, in the cities of São Gabriel da Cachoeira and Atalaia do Norte, and the day-to-day experience of joy or sadness were translated into testimonials for another series, this time in the format of a TV program. “[São] Gabriel, Bruno and Dom” has three episodes and will be available from next Monday, 24th, on the Unicamp Portal. The videos will be available on the YouTube channel TV Unicamp, Canal Unicamp on Eduplay and Canal Universitário Campinas (Channel 10 – cable).

The series was recorded at the TV studio of the Executive Secretariat for Communication (SEC), TV Unicamp. In the first episode, photographer Felipe Bezerra comments on the work he carried out with journalist Juliana Sangion, in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, covering the Indigenous Vestibular 2023. The second episode features testimonies from reporter Liana Coll and photographer Antonio Scarpinetti about the work “Oeste sem Lei – Unicamp no Vale do Javari”, held in June 2022. In the third and final episode, Scarpinetti and Juliana Sangion recall the application of the tests of the first Indigenous Entrance Examination, in 2018. Cameraman João Ricardo - Boi was also part of the team and recorded images for the documentary “Purãga Pesika, a welcome meeting”, broadcast by TV Unicamp. He directs TV for “[São] Gabriel, Bruno and Dom”.

The reporters' trips to the Amazon are part of the SEC's policy of valuing great reporting, authorial work and immersion in relevant current topics. Don't forget to follow along!
