The Permanent Commission for Unicamp Entrance Exams (Comvest) opened registrations for the Open Selection Process for the remaining 10 vacancies at the University on August 2024th. Registration can be made until August 25th, exclusively at Comvest website. 975 places are offered, in 62 undergraduate course options. The registration fee is 200,00 reais and can be paid until September 1st. Students regularly enrolled in undergraduate courses at Unicamp can enroll in the process, as long as the intended course is different from their own course (exceptional cases will be judged by the CCG), students from other national or foreign HEIs and holders of a duly recognized course diploma higher education different from the intended course. The Process will be carried out in two phases of an eliminatory and classificatory nature and a third phase for candidates for courses that require evidence of Specific Skills. The two phases are: Text Reading and Interpretation Test (PLIT) and Specific Knowledge Test (PCE) relating to major areas of knowledge and Curriculum Compatibility Analysis. In addition to these two phases, there are Specific Skills tests for the following courses: Architecture and Urbanism, Visual Arts, Dance and Music. Candidates for Music courses will take the test (submission of videos) between the 18th and 29th of September, and the others, between the 7th and 9th of December 2023, together with the Unicamp Entrance Exam tests.
The Text Reading and Interpretation Test (PLIT) and the Specific Knowledge Test (PCE), mandatory for all candidates, will be held on October 8th. The test locations will be announced on September 28th, on the Comvest page. The Text Reading and Interpretation Test will consist of 10 objective reading and interpretation questions, 6 questions in Portuguese and 4 questions in English. The menus are included in the Notice. The Specific Knowledge Test will consist of 10 objective questions and five essay questions (with two items each), relating to the specific area of the course (Human Sciences/Arts or Exact/Technological Sciences or Biological Sciences or Medicine). The PCE questions will address basic knowledge of specific areas required in the initial years of graduation, and the test programs will be available on the Comvest website. Candidates have a maximum of four hours and a minimum of two hours and thirty minutes to complete the two tests. Absent candidates and those who obtain a mark lower than 50% in the Reading and Text Interpretation Test or 40% in the Specific Knowledge Test will be disqualified.
Candidates will be ranked in descending order based on the grades obtained in PLIT and PCE. For the Curriculum Compatibility Analysis, a number of candidates will be invited that is equivalent to a maximum of three times the number of vacancies available on the course. The list of candidates called for the curriculum analysis phase will be published on October 24th. Those selected must digitally submit the documentation required by the Notice, between October 26th and November 6th, 2023, as indicated in the Notice. The Curriculum Compatibility Analysis is the responsibility of the Undergraduate Committee of the intended course, and the criteria are set out in the Notice.
The list of those invited to enroll will be published on the Comvest website on January 12, 2024, and enrollment must be carried out remotely, via the internet, on January 15 and 16. At the time of registration, scanned copies of the original or notarized copies of the documents indicated in the process notice must be sent.
