The Advisory Board of the Unicamp Ventures group now has two new members this October. Unicamp alumni Lucas Rodolfo Moura (Diesel Bank) and Waldemar Alberto de Freitas Felippe (QualiSign e QualiSoft) became advisors for a term that runs from 2023 to 2025.
The Unicamp Ventures group is a relationship network formed by entrepreneurs linked to Unicamp, whether as students, alumni, teachers, employees and members of companies incubated and graduated from Unicamp's Technology-Based Business Incubator (Incamp).
The president of the Advisory Board, professor Ana Frattini, emphasizes that the renewal of the group of advisors is a fundamental component of Unicamp Ventures' governance.
“It is gratifying to note that there was great interest from candidates. This movement plays a role in strengthening our relationships with daughter companies, enabling the integration of new members into the ecosystem, with the mission of connecting Unicamp's daughter companies and boosting the success of this community”, said Frattini, who is also executive director of the Inova Unicamp Innovation Agency.
In addition to the two new advisors, the group renewed the mandate of Leonardo Gross, a student at Institute of Geosciences (IG) from Unicamp and founder of Genki.
How the Unicamp Ventures board is formed
The Unicamp Ventures Advisory Board is made up of nine members who work voluntarily to expand interaction between the University's daughter companies and the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Of these vacancies, six are occupied by partners from different Unicamp daughter companies. The remaining vacancies are reserved for executive director of Inova Unicamp - responsible for connecting the group to the University -, the current executive presidency of the Unicamp Ventures group and the presidency of the previous management.
Two of the six elective vacancies had their terms ending in 2023, which led to the opening of a public call for the renewal of the council. Candidates interested in joining the Advisory Council presented their CVs and a letter of intent, which were evaluated by the members of the body.
How the Unicamp Ventures board operates
The Advisory Council's mission is based on the design and implementation of initiatives designed to promote close interaction between companies linked to the University and the innovation ecosystem that surrounds it. Advisors work to prospect for sponsorship and select content for events and mentoring for training programs, in addition to encouraging an entrepreneurial culture in the university community.
According to Roseane Ramos, executive president of the Unicamp Ventures group, the experience of the new advisors will contribute to the generation of new opportunities for relationships and interaction with daughter companies, strengthening the positive and lasting impact of Unicamp Ventures on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Unicamp Ventures. University.
“We are honored to renew advisor Leonardo’s cycle with us and to welcome the new members, Lucas and Waldemar. Both lead companies in the fintechs and bring diversity in their repertoires and career moments”, commented Ramos.
Three other entrepreneurial former students from Unicamp were also chosen as deputy advisors for the group. They are: Henrique Marques de Souza, professor at Unicamp and executive director of HMS Agroscience, Lucas Baldoni, former student at the Geosciences Institute (IG) and founder of Links, and Marcelo Petrelli, former student at the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) and manager of ADM Strategy and Business Management.

Having recently left college, I can understand the daily lives of our future entrepreneurs and contribute to this approach with undergraduate students, to further expand the Unicamp ecosystem.”
Waldemar Alberto de Freitas Felippe and isx-student of the Computing Institute (IC) at Unicamp, founder and CEO of fintech QualiSoft and startup QualiSign, one of the leaders in the digital and electronic signature sector. “Being able to give back a little of everything that Unicamp gave me has always been part of my dreams. I couldn't do this before, but fortunately this moment has come.
