Partnership with Revenue
The partnership between Unicamp and the Federal Revenue Service has been going on since 2019, the year in which the two institutions signed a cooperation agreement. The collaborative action aims to have the University assist the Federal Revenue Service in improving the customs inspection mechanisms implemented at Viracopos International Airport. In return, Unicamp receives, as a donation, products seized by federal inspectors, such as hospital supplies and technological equipment. That year, the University's Hospital de Clínicas (HC) received, for the first time, products seized by airport customs.
In March 2023, the Federal Revenue expressed interest in expanding the areas of cooperation with Unicamp. On the occasion, mention was made of the possibility of assistance in the identification of precious stones and rocks, the analysis of chemical products and products of animal and plant origin, the development of software and applications, the transformation of electronic equipment and support for audiovisual productions, among others. other fronts.
Another initiative materialized in the donation of TV Box sets seized by the Revenue to be converted into computers, strengthening the University's inclusion and permanence projects.
