The name "Extension courses" means any academic, technical, cultural or artistic teaching activity, not covered by the regulatory scope of undergraduate and postgraduate education "stricto sensu" at Unicamp.
Professional Master's, Specialization and Improvement courses may be taught as extension courses for all purposes. A Professional Master's Degree is understood as a Master's program designed specifically for the training and updating of professionals in their work techniques, with greater extension and depth than in the Improvement courses.
Os Extension courses they aim to complement or acquire knowledge in different areas, reaching a wide range of professionals, since the level of education required to enroll in the course varies according to its complexity.
Courses can be made up of isolated subjects, or a set of subjects revolving around a common axis with pre-established purposes. They are offered at Unicamp through Extension School e Teaching Units. They are taught by professors, specialists and researchers from Unicamp or occasionally by specialists from other institutions, acting as Guest Professors.
