Visions of war

Researchers Eliézer Rizzo de Oliveira and Geraldo Cavagnari, both from the Center for Strategic Studies at Unicamp (NEE), address, in this edition of Jornal da Unicamp, the developments of the military offensive of the coalition led by the United States and England in Iraq. For Eliézer Rizzo de Oliveira, this is a good opportunity for National Defense to be included on the agenda of Brazilian civil society. Geraldo Cavagnari considers the conflict an aggression and understands that there will be a resurgence of Islamic terror against American and Israeli targets. Doctor Desanka Dragosavac, from Unicamp's HC, who survived the crossfire between Serbs and Croats in the 1990s, reports on her experiences at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade. "I was shocked by human brutality." Pages 5 a 8

In times when the Cold War was the fear
