Prize Rain
Unicamp obtained the largest number of winning inventions during the 2002 edition of the "Governor of the State Award - Brazilian Invention", an event that has been encouraging technological development in the country for 50 years. The University shared the main prize with two works from USP and received six of the 13 honorable mentions awarded. Since the competition was created, 35 Unicamp inventions have been awarded.
