Exponents - The opening of the exhibition “Exponentes”, by the group Olho Latino, takes place on the 31st, at 20 pm, at Espaço Cultural Casa do Lago, with a performance by Valmer Cintra. The exhibition consists of paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations, curated by Paulo Cheida, a PhD student in Arts at Unicamp. “Exponentes” will remain open to the public from 9am to 21pm. Casa do Lago also starts the “Ciclo Pintores” film exhibition on the 31st, curated by Avelino Bezerra, director of the Cultural Space. Animal facilities - This day, the Unicamp Professional Training Agency (AFPU) receives 31 registrations for the theoretical course “Planning and Building Vivariums”, promoted by the Multidisciplinary Center for Biological Research (Cemib) in partnership with AFPU. The target audience is made up of biothermal technicians, laboratory technicians and other technicians who manipulate or use laboratory animal models. Classes will be held from August onwards, on Thursdays, from 14pm to 17pm, in the AFPU auditorium. Registration can be done via an electronic form at www.afpu.unicamp.br

Short story and essay - As part of the activities celebrating its 40th anniversary, Unicamp is launching two literary competitions: the Unicamp 40 Year Short Story Award, aimed at Portuguese-speaking writers, and the Unicamp Year 40 Essay Award: Problems and Perspectives of the Brazilian University in 21st Century.
