New career has a defined calendar

In a meeting held on the 14th, with the directors of the teaching and research at Unicamp, vice-rector José Tadeu Jorge announced the project to review the Positions, Salaries and Salaries Plan (PCVS) and the resumption of the units' Certification Plan. In another meeting, held on the 20th, it was the turn of the representations of the Sectoral Committees (CSAs) to receive the information and the schedule of activities. Once all phases of the proposed calendar have been completed, the PCVS, already revised, should be voted on by the Chamber of Administration (CAD), probably in December of this year. The months of July and August will be reserved for a broad discussion of the current plan within the University. The vice-rector highlighted the importance of using "all institutional bodies to promote an open and transparent discussion". It even indicates that the submission of proposals from units/bodies be carried out in public hearings, open to anyone who shows interest in participating. "We expect a very participatory debate."
Another important detail concerns the comments made. These must contain a justification. The identification of an error, for example, must be accompanied by a viable suggestion to resolve the problem. "If any point in the current plan is considered wrong, it is necessary to say what is right; if something is bad, it is necessary to suggest how to improve it", explains the vice-rector. He remembers that the discussion should revolve around the career structure and not due to individual cases. These matters will not be addressed at this stage of the review. The calendar also includes suggested dates for meetings to be held in the units/bodies, starting on July 15th.
Until September 30th, a working group, already designated by the rector, will systematize the proposals and prepare an initial project based on the comments sent by the units/bodies. According to preliminary calculations, 46 documents containing the positive and negative points of the plan are expected to be forwarded. The community, through its representative bodies, will have another 30 days to propose amendments to the initial project. The final report, containing the amendments accepted by the group, should be ready at the end of November. Any amendments that are not used will also be sent to the CAD to guide the final decision.
Certification Plan - During the meeting held with the directors of teaching and research units, discussions regarding the Certification Plan were also resumed. Although most units have already forwarded the work to the DGRH, the vice-rector explained that the documents lacked uniformity. In these first two months of the new management, detailed surveys of all documentation received were carried out. "There are many divergent points and we need a standard format in order to begin approving the certification of the units." Tadeu Jorge clarifies that in the employee chart, for example, it is necessary to know the employee's functions and in which sector he is included and not just that he exists in the functional framework. From this, it will be possible to have a real dimension of the work being carried out and verify the need for personnel in a given service.
Another divergent issue concerns the number of representation bonuses (GRs) requested. "It is necessary to establish a structure for the GRs, without forgetting the existence of the deliberations of the Chamber of Administration - CAD - which govern the matter."
The suggestion accepted by the directors was that the projects would return to the units for a new analysis, within some established general principles. To this end, staff from the University's General Coordination would be available to the units to prepare the material in the same format. "It is essential that the units take advantage of this moment to deepen the content of the plans sent."
HES opens toy library
Isabel Gardenal
Alisson Rodrigo's story could pass unnoticed, were it not for its outcome. At 9 years, the boy was admitted to the hospital State of Sumaré (HES) managed by Unciamp - in mid-July last year. Alisson presented a serious clinical condition, caused by the accidental ingestion of caustic soda. After two months without his condition improving, he was transferred to Unicamp's HC, where he died.
A child who knew how to captivate everyone with sympathy, Alisson was not alone in the fight for his life: his drama was watched by both institutions. But it was at Sumaré Hospital that he ended up definitively listed as a symbol, lending his name to the toy library recently opened there.
With a space of 25 square meters, the toy library begins a new hospital phase in which joy is greatly encouraged, especially in the Pediatrics wing, third floor.
The toys are all gathered together in a collection, which includes everything from symbolic ones (elements of play) and educational ones (for teaching purposes) to games. There are dolls, animals, cars and musical instruments - more or less 1.300 units, as well as multicolored costumes, with the faces of fictional characters.
They also gained a systematically organized library, in order to accommodate the approximately 300 books they accumulate.
clown - Walkíria Camelo, president of the Hospitalhaços Association, a group of volunteer clowns that works at HES, HC and other health institutions, insists that the previous experience, without the toy library, demonstrated a large gap in the occupational area. "The hospitalized children seemed more anxious and idle."
Two fundamental factors, according to her, determined the creation of a permanent area also dedicated to entertainment. First, it was observed that toys were only donated on commemorative dates. Another factor: is that, after the clown concluded the clown display, the environment returned to being a little sad, with no reference for the patients.
Based on the Hospitalhaços' suggestion, today - the toy library has been implemented - the service is practically complete, presenting the new area as its central context and, as a common axis, the clown, in order to attract children.
Hospitality - The association, now that it has become a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), is able to raise more resources for the Hospital Humanization Project, its main goal.
Of the five clowns who started the group, the NGO currently has almost 200, working on several fronts: they promote celebrations and plastic arts workshops with patients and companions on a weekly basis, participate in institutional campaigns, visit wards and outpatient clinics, perform performances and collect toys.
Hospitalhaços have their own headquarters, located at Rua Pompeo Carvalho Moura, 453 - Jardim das Oliveiras, and a website (www.hospitalhacos.org.br) detailed information about the group.
