Epidemiology
Professor David Wegman, an epidemiologist from the University of Massachusetts, was at Unicamp from June 12th to 14th. He visited the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The content of his lecture was the topic of a dissertation presented at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, within the area of ​​total quality, in August 2001. The title of the dissertation is "Management Model for Companies providing Telecommunications System Installation Services" .

Teachers for USP - On June 13, the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo approved the project, forwarded by governor Geraldo Alckmin, which creates 1.700 teaching positions at USP (University of São Paulo). The project foresees the permanent creation of 1.300 doctorate professor positions and 400 full professor positions. According to the governor's justification presented in the project, since 1967, USP has not proposed the creation of positions for professors with doctorates, the initial stage of their career.

Visual archeology
