A tool for innovation

Unicamp researchers have just formulated an innovative methodology for evaluating the impacts of scientific research. Developed by the Research and Innovation Organization Study Group (GEOPI), the program was tested on orange and sugarcane plantations, and has wide applicability and can be used by managers, researchers and analysts from public institutions or companies. The tool, which allows the assessment of economic, social, environmental and technological training aspects, was designed based on a network work that integrated several institutions. For the project coordinators, the new methodology integrates the efforts that Unicamp has been making to stimulate projects in the area of Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I).
