Ceset logo – The Higher Center for Technological Education (Ceset) is open for registration for the creation of its logo. The Unicamp logo cannot be used to compose the object of this competition, whether in its official form or in a stylized form. “Come on, there’s art” – The Casa do Lago Cultural Space holds the exhibition “Go, you’re having Art”. The event brings together works by 14 artists graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at the Institute of Arts (IA) at Unicamp, who joined the course in 1998. Participating in the exhibitions are Gabriel Braga (drawings); Luisa Sandler (panel); Daniela Elias, Marli Gonçalves, Tais Ribeiro, Leandro Gazzi and Carlos Sarmento (paintings); Simone Peixoto (monotypes); Dayene Mari, Ligia Luciene and Cheli Urban (installation); Fernanda Casari (sculpture); Tomás Vega (video and engravings), and Adriana Novaes (sculptures). The exhibition is open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 17:30 pm, and will remain open until the 3rd (Tuesday).

Vacancy at USP – Registration is open until the 6th (Friday) for the selection process for a position as a systems analyst and one for a laboratory specialist, both requiring a higher education degree from the Department of Genetics at FMRP-USP. Information www.fmrp.usp.br/.
SBPC Election – The Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science (SBPC) will receive the votes for renewal of the board and part of its council via the Internet in this election until June 12th. Previously, the entity sent the voting ballot to members by mail, but this year decided to give preference to the electronic system. Only members who are in good standing with the institution can vote. Each person will receive a login and password to vote via computer, on the website http://www.sbpcnet.org.br. Voting by letter will only be permitted in exceptional cases. Members who do not have access to a computer should contact the SBPC secretariat to receive guidance on how to vote. The counting will be the following day and the inauguration will take place at the SBPC annual meeting, from July 13th to 18th, at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).
Hydroponics – The Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (Feagri) and the Brazilian Committee for the Development and Application of Plastics in Agriculture (Cobapla) promote the 5th Hydroponics and Soilless Cultivation Meeting on June 18th to 20th in the Auditorium of the Unicamp Central Library. Registration can be made at the Feagri Extension Secretariat (3788-1088) or through the website www.hidroponia.com.br. Among the topics to be debated are Alternative Methods in the Control of Diseases of Flowers and Vegetables and Intensive Cultivation. There will also be visits to crops in the region.
Information Technologies – Inter and multidisciplinary event, organized by the Renato Archer Research Center and Unicamp, with the aim of promoting the meeting of businesspeople, researchers, educators, and managers from various segments such as Management, Information Systems, Information Technologies and others. It takes place on June 26th in various locations (see program on the website). Art and humanization – The executive board of the Center for Comprehensive Care for Women's Health (Caism) promotes the exhibition of the “Art and humanization” Collection (second module) until June 30th. Marx and Engels – Registration of works for the “3rd Marx and Engels Colloquium: Marxism and Socialism in the 21st century”, which will take place from November 3rd to 7th. The deadline for submitting communications is June 30th. The promotion is from the Center for Marxist Studies (Cemarx), from the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences. This time, topics such as: the conditions and the struggle for the reorganization of the international socialist movement will be addressed. Round tables and coordinated communications sessions are part of the program. The researcher must send a summary of their communication to Cemarx. PUC Prize – Registration for the 13rd PUC Mostra Prize is open until July 3th. The objective is to encourage university students to use knowledge as a way of building actions capable of influencing society. Students of undergraduate or postgraduate courses regularly enrolled in 12 in any Brazilian higher education establishment can compete for the four prizes of R$0 thousand, with the work being carried out, obligatorily, as a team.
