Consu creates unprecedented public school inclusion program

With 62 votes in favor and two abstentions, the Unicamp University Council (Consu) approved on the 25th (photo) an unprecedented program for greater inclusion of public schools in its undergraduate courses. The program, which does not reserve places or go through a quota system, aims to attract the most capable students and at the same time promote social inclusion, taking into account, at the same time, university autonomy, qualification and merit of students. candidates. A study by the Unicamp Entrance Exam Committee that gave rise to the program demonstrated that, of the students who obtained similar grades in the entrance exam, those who attended high school in public schools showed superior performance during the course.
